The Institute of Agriculture at the University of Tennessee has one of the most advanced Omics facility dedicated to agriculture research in the nation. It is our vision to make this Omics Hub a national top tier core lab with systems biology platforms empowering plant and animal biotechnology research. The mission of the Omics Hub is to provide and disseminate state-of-the-art scientific and technical knowledge in bioinformatics, cellomics, genomics, transcriptomics, metabolics and proteomics that will contribute to the wide range of programs in UT AgResearch as well as the University of Tennessee, Knoxville campus. Specifically, our goals are to make available sophisticated scientific instruments to our research community for hands on research and to help them succeed in relevant grant application. Our aim is to provide strong technical support in instrumentation and technology, and to offer service and training benefiting researchers interested in different omics applications. For our Omics Hub to accomplish its mission, we would like to encourage all scientists to actively use this shared resource facility for research.
